Music Video BTS with the lovely Emma & the Fragments
It is always a joy to work with indie/alt rock band Emma & the Fragments, and this was a unique opportunity to peek behind the scenes in the making of their next music video. This will be their first release since pre Christmas single Lonely Star accompanied by a beautiful animated video. The new single is called Transparent Skin and came out on 21st May on all major streaming services. And here is a little taste of the how the music video was created.

Filmed in The Engine Rooms music venue and rehearsal studios, heading here is always a bit of a trip down memory lane for me. Its situated in Bow close to where I took part in a Rock School project when I first moved to London. First order of the day was to capture a few images of the band playing together in the main room.

Next up it was Emma’s turn to perform for the camera. Having captured Emma and the band playing live on many occasions – taking photos of them lip synching for the purpose of the video felt a little strange. But with the impressive stage presence that they have their performance skills shone through even without an audience in the room.

A little bit of chilling time before the videographers set up the gear for the ‘Transparent Skin’ part of the shoot!

Loved this simple but effective process to create the desired look for the video. Also really fun to watch and capture. Its going to be interesting to see how this is all pulled together to produce the music video. I also felt quite privileged to be able to get a preview of the new song as it played in the background during the afternoon.
